It is beyond bothersome that this website is in Japanese. Really, I can't read that well, and even when I can read I can barely comprehend...
So basically trying to find the right button equals many failed attempts. I feel the need to check all my internet stuff everyday, and yet doing so tends to end in me feeling mroe sad, its just because I miss you (all), so facebook is not my friend.

Japan. well, physical contact is rare, you aren't allowed to say I love you (its too serious), and no one talks to eachother because they are too shy, especially they don't talk to me, the giant gaijin with piercings. grumble grumble.

I do adore this place, I promise, but I try not to complain, so LJ gets what complaints I do have.

Basically, I won't be meeting a beautiful Japanese boy, because even if one thought I was attractive there is no way he would talk to me. Yay.
And gey women, are so underground that finding one would be soooo hard. Whatever, I have no time anyway, all I have time for is learning Japanese, because class is SO hard!

On a happy note, this weekend I am going to J-fashion stores, because I found them, in Shinsaibashi (which is in Osaka), it only takes about 10 minutes on the subway! Hurrah. Also, I get to swing dance in the INFES (international festival), so that is making me feel better, looking forward to that.

ilzusdgbfaijcbasdjbfz Also, my dreams are out of control, I think i'd prefer not to explore my unconcious mind right now, like i said, I'm too busy to do much other than study, and try and learn as much about my surroundings as possible. Oh, and drink, my sisters love to drink, so I get dragged along sometimes, hurray family.

This made me incredibly sad. I was unaware that I was part of two subcultures that led to death by hate crime. If you care about anything relating to Goth culture, or basic human rights, or are part of any subculture that people don't understand, please read this article. I can't understand why things like this happen, but it does not speak highly of the state of our world at this moment.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/apr/25/goth.violence?gusrc=rss&feed=networkfront

In other news, LEAF was lovely, but I am exhausted.

<3

So, I need feedback/opinions/comments.

You all know what I look like, have seen me go through hair transformations, etc...
Well its that time again, what I need is help deciding on a color combination.
I was considering three colors, I thought I knew what I wanted, but then a 4th choice came up,
Which was green, which is risky and can fade questionably, but I love the color.
So here goes, which of these three do you think I should choose???
(it is either gonna be very neon-raver or very cotton-candy, both of which I love)

Joyride (SPFX)
Fishbowl (SPFX)
Cupcake Pink (SPFX)
Limelight (SPFX)

IM JUST PASSING THIS ON
it was posted in one of the EGL communitites
and you who have clothing, should participate, or get in touch with me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hi everyone. I haven't been around in a while because my computer broke (again) about a week ago.

I just wanted to visit today to remind everyone about our first International Lolita Fashion Day (anyone remember that?), a.k.a. "Loliday", which takes place this Saturday, December 3rd.

I'm posting a reminder here because in order to make it stick around, we need as many participants as possible, and seeing as this is the first one we don't have a huge following yet.

So what we want you to do on Dec. 3 is:
+ Dress up nice and loli/aristocrat/ouji
+ Go out with your friends (or alone) shopping, out to eat, to a party, or something
+ Take pictures and share them and your experiences at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/loliday/
(Where you can also find more info on the event--it's closed to the general public to keep it safe.)

We really hope to make this a success and spread our love of gothloli around the world. Hope to see lots of lovely pictures!!

here we go...... again

The 3nd Japanese Fashion "Tea Party"
Saturday November 5st!

we are going to have a picknick at haliburton park!
a very rough draft of timing......
we will etheir meet at my house around 2
or you can meet us at the park around 3:15 or 3:30
something like that
more detail soon to come

The only requirement is that you wear a Japanese
Fashion outfit. I can supply quite a few outfits for girls, possible
one or two for men if they are little, and i will try and have more
male clothes ready by then.
of course anyone is welcome, as long as you have a slight knowledge
about Japanese fashion,
and have something to wear, or ask me before-hand to borrow something
of mine.

And, as usual, if you would like to bring anything Japanese or
Lolita-ish please do. We may also need people who would feel up to
bringin tea and possibly baked goods. I will have more specifics as
time goes on about what to bring, and so forth. hmmm doesnt that sound
fun? It would also be nice if you could RSVP, though not needed, so
reach me however ya want.

To get to my house:
If you are going down Market St. towards downtown you turn left on 21st
St. You then go two blocks up and turn right onto Wolcott Ave. You go a
block and a half and my house is on the right, it is 1917, and it has a
green hippie van out front.

If you are coming down 17th St. going towards Market St. you are going
to take a right onto Wrightsville after the cool old building and right
before Rebel Books. You then go about two blocks and take a left onto
Wolcott Ave. You go about a block and a half and my house is 1917 with
the green hippie van.

Thanks! Email me at giltathar@hotmail.com or reach me on AIM at ThyEvilWithin if you need anything or have any questions.

The only requirement is that you wear a Japanese Fashion outfit. I can
the plan is to meet at my house on Saturday between 2:30 and 3:30 (if you come earliy or late i don't really care)
we will get dressed, then have tea and candy and baked goods, and wait for it to get a small amount cooler.
then we will go downtown to Riverfest!
and suprise all the people there, im sure.
of course anyone is welcome, as long as you have a slight knowledge about Japanese fashion,
and have something to wear, or ask me before-hand to borrow something of mine.

And, as usual, if you would like to bring anything Japanese or
Lolita-ish please do. We may also need people who would feel up to
bringin tea and possibly baked goods. I will have more specifics as
time goes on about what to bring, and so forth.
hmmm doesnt that sound fun? It would also be nice if you could RSVP,
though not needed, so reach me however ya want.

To get to my house:

i dream in color

i had an amazingly detailed dream last night.

It all started with a girl, she is blonde and blue eyed, with pale perfect skin and kinda looks like Mandy moore, discovering that she was the daugter of God, and decended from Angels, she walked into an apartment, which was very old fashion and downtown esque, there was a large colum in the middle and windows and the far back walll, and there was me, Allie, anad Leilani... i think

At this point the dream switches to my perspective, and we find out that i am aparently the daughter of Satan (the dream me alreay knew that) and we are going to take Leilani and Allie on tours of Heaven and hell. we decided we should go to Hell first so they could be even happier when we got to Heaven.

We were getting dressed to go, and i was wearing this amazing outfit wich consisted of super tight black strap pants, a red corset with designs on it, and a pair of black wings. The other girl was wearing a beautiful white gown that was very elven and she had a pair of snow white wings.

Once we were ready to go the four of us walked to one side of the apartment and there was an old fashioned
elevator waiting for us. we got in and i pressed the buttons to send us down to Hell. the ride was uber trippy. we were falling down quickly, and i braced myself for the change, and suddenly it got hotter and the walls turned red (you could see the rock through the elevator) and we came to a screeching halt.

We stepped out into a dark and hot room, rock walls, with huge black doors, and a river running under them. We got in a little black boat and went through the doors. there is no better way to describe Hell then to say it was like a cheap horror amusment park ride. we went through a succesion of rooms and doors, each containing something that would possibley scare people who had that phobia, over all only a few things were creepy, and since i was born there nothing was scary.

At the end of the river Satan himself was standing waiting for us. So i jumped out of the boat and hugged him, with the cry of, "daddy!" yes odd. He was a tall dark specter wrapped in a black cape, with a head reminicent of Saurons in LOTR, that spikey metal mask. But he seemed to be a very loving father.

Behind him was apperntly my favorite horror scene room, so i was eager to show then. we looked through a window like you would see in a dance studio that shows the inside of a class room. It was a large amount of buildings high high above water, all of them were in the water. On some of the buildings were japanese girls dressed in their school clothes. I ws finding this all wonderful. then two of the girls jumped off a building holding hands, they crashed into the water with a smack and were washed away into a black wall of stone. and i said "Shinjuu, the double suicide." some how i knew how to pronounce that.

We then continued our tour and it was more of the same, just like a bad haunted house. i could go into great deal about all of this, and the boat ride before, but i really dont want to. What i told them was that i was to fullfill the profecy, that when i came back to live in Hell and rule in my Father's place, hell would become what it once was, a terrifying mass of wailing spirirts, it then had a flash of that, and it was indeed a terrible sight. one of the many scenes that we saaw and then saw again for how it would be when i rueld was a whole group of men in jail, laying on their bunk beds, i believe they were dead, and when i was in charge they were mutilated and hoorrible, they got out of their beds and came towards us with arms outstretched, crying out, and it was actually very scary.

Then it was time to go, so we headed back up to the surface so we could get ready to go to Heaven.

Heaven is a lot harder to get into then Hell, because to get your ticket to visit Heaven you have to do a good deed. we were in some neighborhood and we were trying to figure out what good deed to do, when a trailer park caught on fire, so we saved people and that did the trick. Suddelny a white plane came out of the sky, making the colorful flowers in the alleyway wave in the breeze. A very perky stuardess opened the door and welcomed us onto Heaven Air. everything on the plane was white and fluffy and clean. We flew up through the clouds and the sky was a gorgeous bright blue. I was having a drink when the captian said, "we will be landing in 15 minutes..."

and then i woke up.

Wolcott Ave. You go about a block and a half and my house is 1917 with

EGA

EGA (Elegant Gothic Aristocrat) is a style created by Mana, the
creator of Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois. EGA is a style based on being
elegant and sophisticated. The clothing is influenced by European
fashion from around the Victorian era and is normally limited to black
and white, but sometimes other dark nuetural tones such as greys, tans, and dark
reds can be used.
The EGA attitude is far more refined and mature than any other.
Although portraying the air of the upper classes, EGA is still polite
in nature and behavior. EGA is also a highly androgynous fashion (just
look at Mana) and the same outfits can be worn by women or men. This
fashion is all about elegant beauty.

KODONA/DANDY

Kodona, also known as Dandy, Prince, and Little Boy, is
approximately the male alternative to Lolita fashion. It is a fashion
based on Victorian male styles including knickers (knee length pants)
and knee socks. They also wear ties of any type, boots, ruffled and
fancy blouses, and jackets. Kodona also can lean towards a Gothic feel,
in which case items such as capes, canes, and top hats are common. Some
of the Kodona feel is also used in Visual Kei.
Kodona’s have good manners like a Lolita would, but also have a
small amount more of mischief in their personality. The more Gothic and
more Victorian Kodona’s represent a great amount of chivalry in their
behavior and like their Gothic Lolita counter-parts, more mystery.
Lolitas are known for their adorable features and poise. Often said to
resemble dolls, Lolitas encompass a childlike spirit expressing one
part and view of the feminine spirit.

Different types of Lolitas have different behavior. Sweet Lolitas (Amaloli) tend toward a younger disposition and have excellent manners to the point of old fashioned, where as Gothic Lolitas (Kurololita), although still well mannered and cute, tend toward a more mysterious and mature disposition. Other Lolita types include WaLolita, Punk/ Deconstructed Lolita, Casual Lolita, and Classic Lolita.

Casual Lolita is when you take the essence of Lolita fashion and make into clothing that you can easily wear everyday, simple as that.

WaLolita is a Lolita fashion that draws on traditional Japanese dress, such as kimonos, to play a part in
the outfit.

Punk/Deconstructed Lolita is less fluffy and leans towards Dr. Martins and chains as outfit accessories. It is basically taking the punk fashion and girly-fying it.

Classic Lolita contains outfit patterns that resemble traditional dress styles more then the other
styles. The fabric designs also vary differently.

Sweet Lolita tends to be light and bright in color, often including a good deal of white in the outfits. The outfits also tend to resemble clothing little children would be wearing.

Gothic Lolita is the darker side of Lolita fashion. The clothing tends toward black and white, often with crosses included in the design or as accessories. As far as
my knowledge goes it has basically been established that the crosses have no Christian connotation or any connotation otherwise. They are merely cross shapes, nothing more.

For more information on the meaning of Lolita fashion and the different subtypes please go to the

Info1

Info2

Info3

Info4

Info5

General1

General2

General3

Geneal4

Shopping:

ClassicLoli1

ClassicLoli2

ClassicLoli3

GothicLoli1

GothicLoli2

GothicLoli3

GothicLoli4

GothicLoli5

GothicLoli6 (they have lots of different issues) The store is on 17th and Wrightsville and it is called Rebel Books.

GO NOW!

for those who don't know... Gothic & Lolita Bibles are "magazines" that are filled with pictures and articles about fashions in Japan. they also have patterns for making things... although you kinda need to read Japanese characters to do very well.

*spaz*
